BetWWTS Announces Odds to Win the 2005 Nextel Cup Championship
BetWWTS Announces Odds to Win the 2005 Nextel Cup Championship

ST. JOHN'S, Antigua, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- As the chase for the 2005 Nextel Cup Championship heats up with this weekend's Sylvania 300 at the New Hampshire's International Speedway, BetWWTS.com, a leading sports book for motor racing odds, has listed individual odds on a number of drivers to win the 2005 Nextel Cup Championship, in addition to other race-specific betting propositions.

The beginning of the season saw Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. ranked among the favorites to win the 2005 Nextel Series championship. However, after the conclusion of 26 races, Earnhardt and four-time series champion Jeff Gordon find themselves out of the game. Just three weeks ago, Gordon made great strides to move into 10th place in points; however, poor finishes at California and Richmond ruined his opportunity at securing a spot. Amazingly, Roush Racing has all five of its drivers in the chase as Greg Biffle, Mark Martin, Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards all secured spots. In addition, Rusty Wallace is trying to win one for the senior set as the 48 year-old driver starts the chase in 3rd place in his final NASCAR year. Tony Stewart heads into the chase as the leader and one of the hottest drivers, after recently winning 4 of 5 races. Stewart is clearly the favorite to win it all. The other drivers to make the chase are Jimmy Johnson and Ryan Newman.
