These lightweight and compact uninterrupted power supplies (UPS) are up to 50 percent lighter and 40 percent smaller than the average desktop UPS. This will provide users the same protection and features in a footprint that will readily fit into tight spaces.

Customers can choose from several levels of protection, ranging from 330VA to 1150VA and up to 75 minutes of battery back-up time. Depending on the model, the products offer two to ten adapter-spaced outlets, with half of the outlets providing battery back-up and surge protection and half offering surge protection only. Each of the units features a 6-foot power cord, push button power and test switches, and an audible alarm that alerts users to a power outage event. Indicator lights give users accurate readings of overload and battery supply on all models, while the 850VA and 1150VA include the AVR and power indicators.

The units also incorporate a USB communication interface and a combination jack that accommodates either a phone/fax (RJ-11) or data modem (RJ-45) line. All Newpoint UPS products come with complimentary items: a USB cable, a phone cable, and an automatic shutdown software CD-Rom that is compatible with Windows 98, ME, XP and 2003.

The Battery Back-Up products carry a limited connected equipment warranty of from $50,000 to $300,000 depending on the model. The MSRP for the products range from $69.99 to $189.99.
