(February 11, 2003) - The State of Texas has deployed Covigo, Inc.'s Enterprise Mobility Suite to over 250 government inspectors who are responsible for licensing and inspecting more than 23,000 child-care facilities serving over 860,000 children through the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (PRS).
Covigo's Enterprise Mobility Suite has replaced the State's manual, paper-based system for integration with its Childcare Licensing Automation Support System (CLASS) and synchronization with information captured from its field representatives on handheld devices. Utilizing Covigo's technology, childcare facility licensing representatives are able to use their Pocket PC devices to receive work orders, capture inspection information while in the field, and transmit inspection reports back to PRS faster and more efficiently than ever before.
Covigo's Enterprise Mobility Suite rapidly and seamlessly integrates with existing systems through the use of packaged adapters for multiple J2EE technologies, such as EJBs, JDBC, and JSPs. In this deployment, Covigo's Enterprise Mobility Suite seamlessly integrates with BEA's WebLogic Application Server and Oracle's database servers. In addition, the Covigo-powered application is being deployed directly onto Pocket PC mobile devices for use in offline/disconnected mode along with store and forward synchronization.
