Coming This Fall: Rich Internet Applications with Adobe Flex and Java: Secrets of the Masters
Jinfonet Announces JReport 10
Enhance Agile BI with Rich Visualization

Jinfonet Software, a provider of Java reporting solutions, on Thursday unveiled JReport 10. This new version adds rich visualization and interactive reporting to a robust, agile BI platform, providing embedded operational reporting to developers and self-service reporting to end users.

JReport 10 brings Agile Business Intelligence to the next level with rich visualization features.  Web 2.0 self-service reporting allows highly interactive reports to be accessible across the enterprise with superior performance and scalability.

Rich visualization promotes better understanding of data by enabling sophisticated, interactive visual presentation.  JReport extends the limits of crosstabs, charting, and dashboards with on-screen filters, cascading parameters and data sharing auto-refresh components, providing a richer user experience.  With increased interactive capabilities, more reusable report components, and the ability to visually slice, dice and drill down, rich visualization helps you to get more from your data.

Integrating data with geo-spatial maps allows end-users to see data from a multi-level geographical perspective, with drill down support for further details.  JReport's enhanced charting includes multi-axis bullet, combo, gauge, bubble and dozens more, making reports and dashboards more expressive.

JReport's agile business intelligence makes report creation and deployment fast and simple.  JReport seamlessly embeds in any Java application, and can connect to any data source, giving immediate access to operational data from the application interface.  JReport Server Live provides Web 2.0 self-service reporting, so users can intuitively create multi-component web reports without requiring the assistance of developers.  End users can also swiftly modify deployed reports to directly reflect their needs, for example, by adding columns, groups, pivoting and filtering, and quickly switching between different chart types or table styles.  JReport's easy to use reporting tools accelerate and streamline the reporting process, enabling users to harness the power of business information without a difficult development process.

JReport Server Live uses AJAX technology to create advanced Rich Internet Applications (RIAs), designed to be more interactive and responsive.  With report layout offloaded to the browser, report interaction and on-screen refresh are expedited.  The streamlined architecture greatly reduced server workload and communication overhead, making the JReport Server Live extremely scalable and capable of handling a very large user population without performance deterioration.

"Actionable information is the foundation of JReport," said Senior Product Manager Greg Harris.  "JReport10 takes maximal advantage of the capabilities of modern browsers and the processing power of client computers to provide a Web 2.0 Rich Internet Application experience for end users while drastically improving scalability."
