Google Snags Cooliris to Work on It’s New Phone
Palo Alto company to help Google with media interaction on Nexus One

Cooliris which helps facilitate media browsing over desktops and devices is working with Google on a media gallery that will appear on the Nexus One smartphone. The Palo Alto company is concentrating on bringing it's sophisticated user interactivity and visual design capabilities to viewing photos and videos on Google's launch phone. Coolaris is known for it's feature rich video viewing environment called 3DWall and web browser plugins for interactive full-screen slideshows of online images and videos from Flickr, My Space ,Facebook, You Tube etc.
For accelerated browsing, the Gallery quickly sorts through thumbnails of media data stored in the phones before bringing up the high resolution version of the selected photo or video. It comes with a built-in photo editor and zoom bar. A two-way interactivity feature with Picassa Albums provides instant mobile access and update possibilities .Multi share application lets users send videos and entire albums over email, MMS messaging, Picasa, or a Bluetooth connection. The technology will be compatible with other Nexus one media apps.
Coolaris also announced that it has joined the Open Handset Alliance and is contributing the Gallery application to the Android open source project. Coolaris boasts two freeware applications , Cool Previews and Cooliris. CoolPreviews is a browser add-on that lets you preview links and rich media without leaving your current page.
